world breastfeeding week

Me nursing baby C, my partner’s baby, at our local gay pride event. I am wearing a dress that has a large keyhole opening - I just pushed it over and plop my boob out. In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, I am not being discreet! :)

I am not lactating, but from the start baby C has nursed on me for comfort. She does it quite often and it helps so much to have two more breasts she’ll take - even if they’re empty. I’ve considered relactating and am now thinking about it seriously. It will help when my partner goes back to work.

What a beautiful picture! You and baby C are both very cute! How do you go about relactating? Do you know any good resources? I have been wondering about this if I ever adopt a baby.

The look in your eyes just screams “inner peace” and that is what made me tear up. I have enjoyed your writings for a while now and feel that I have been on this journey with you. Congratulations to you and if you ever feel the desire to come to Canada- I’ll gladly have baby #4, with you as my midwife- of course;).

Ahh nice to see you and baby C is just a nice bonus. Best wishes on re-lactating! I know a few friends who have done it for adopted children.

What a beautiful picture! What a perfect way to bond with baby C.

Couldn’t resist commenting; have been reading your blog for a while …

My youngest child was born at home; it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Along with nursing all of my three children.

What a beautiful picture, especially knowing the family dynamics. I do know several lesbian couples that have co-nursed. Two of them were lactating at the same time (one couple, one of the moms had givein birth and was nursing their 3yo, so it was easy enough for her to build up the supply when her partner gave birth to their second baby.)
Anyway, I am rambling. I am glad that you are able to share such a close bond with your baby.

If you decide you are interested in trying some dom, I happen to have some I could send you! Let me know.
My own nursling I think is weaned (I said that once before and she then promptly nursed 1 more time after not nursing for a week, so I’m waiting a little longer before I decide she’s really done) so I’m not having any chance to NIP anymore, discretely or otherwise. I did make quite a scene in my backwards town nursing her 3 yr old self at ds’s ball games all summer, though!
