Babylove

What I wouldn’t give to see this woman’s show.

(Warning: not for those that are sexually conservative or afraid of a woman’s changing sexuality through motherhood!)

How this one-woman show was born. And the essay that the show was conceived with.

Her blog, which features the great post entitled Sexy Mom Self-Image.

I love this topic.

Women are (of course!) highly sensual and sexual beings. Once we become pregnant and have children our bodies, sexual desires and experiences change dramatically…but they don’t dissipate. I appreciate Christen Clifford’s honest look at all the crazy, phenomenal and orgasmic ways we slide through this journey.

There are a few very central things that define me, that I’ve written about extensively. But never sex. And yet, that is one of the things that most defines me. I keep thinking, but what if my mother were to see it? Isn’t that crazy? But is it, really? Our whole culture feeds that neurosis.

Thank you, thank you… I’ve felt I’ve had a blog entry in me kind of regarding this topic.
    Stay tuned…

Wow! Came back to add that my previous excitement was just about the mere topic itself but now having read the inspired article I am just speechless. Amazed. If I could write that energetically I would say I was reading my own words, my own thoughts.

    Bravo Christen!

Hi there! Thanks for the lovely feedback…I wish you could come and see the show, I’d love loads of lovely midwives in the audience. We’re extended through July 27th, in case you get to New York!
    Thanks again- Christen
